Workshop notes and resources (SCIE National Conference 2007)
The People Management Network held its third study day in Birmingham on 14th June, as part of SCIE's national conference. Network members had the opportunity to hear speakers from SCIE (including a session on new product development), Department of Health, Department for Education and Skills, and a presentation from a service user perspective. Members also attended facilitated discussion groups on changing roles and responsibilities, leadership and vision, embedding service user participation, and the SISCo project: addressing basic skills at induction. The groups provided an opportunity to explore current issues and identify solutions together. SCIE used the event to identify topics for further development on the People Management website, and to explore possible ways for members to support one another.
