Age Positive (government agency)

Age Positive, part of the Department for Work and Pensions in Sheffield and London, is responsible for strategy and policies to support people making decisions about working and retirement. The Age Positive campaign promotes the benefits of employing a mixed-age workforce that includes older and younger people. It encourages employers to make decisions about recruitment, training and retention that do not discriminate against someone because of their age.

In order to get it message across and help employers comply with new legislation to outlaw age discrimination in employment, Age Positive uses publications, research, press, events and awards initiatives. 

Age Positive website gives a comprehensive information on age discrimination legislation.  It includes resources such as best practice samples and lists useful links.
