Absence Management toolkit for employers

The Absence Management toolkit has been developed by CIPD, HSE and ACAS to provide a summary of how to manage absence. It includes four tools:

• Do you have an absence problem?
• How do you develop an absence strategy?
• How do you deal with short-term absence?
• How do you deal with long-term absence?

The toolkit is designed to give a good overview of some of the key issues that need to be considered in order to manage absence effectively, with links to a range of further resources.
